In 2014, Memphis Record Pressing (MRP) emerged from a remarkable collaboration between the creative expertise of Audiographic Masterworks (AGMW) and the innovative visionaries at Fat Possum Records (FP). With decades of combined experience in music and manufacturing, AGMW and FP united to meet the growing demand of the vinyl resurgence, blending their strengths to create a new benchmark in the industry. After acquiring a dormant pressing plant in Brooklyn, NY, Memphis Record Pressing embarked on a mission to revive vintage machinery and rekindle the artistry of vinyl production. This bold effort set the stage for the resurgence of vinyl records. In January 2015, everything came together as MRP proudly opened its doors, ready to press the future of music onto timeless wax.

In June 2016, Memphis Record Pressing reached a pivotal milestone by partnering with GZ Media (GZ), the world’s largest vinyl record manufacturer. This landmark collaboration, combined with the surging global demand for vinyl and the renewed embrace of the format by major record labels, catapulted MRP to the forefront of vinyl LP production on a global scale.

In 2021, Memphis Record Pressing launched an ambitious multimillion-dollar expansion, more than tripling its capacity and solidifying its position as one of the largest vinyl manufacturers in North America.
